Charged once per transaction for a whole family checkout — not once per child — with Stripe processing included. Bank costs about half of card, and every family-facing payment screen leads with bank and shows the exact saving. Your organization chooses to absorb the fee or pass it through; families always pay your organization, and your rate is locked in when you sign up.
On a $500 registration that is $21.45 by card and $11.49 by bank.
That's the whole model: one flat subscription, and we earn a little more only when you're actually collecting money.

Who do families actually pay?
Your organization. Payments run through your own Stripe account — money settles to your bank, refunds come from your balance, and your organization’s name shows on the family’s card statement. InSeasonHQ never holds your funds.
Why is paying by bank cheaper?
Because it costs less to move, and we pass that on rather than pocketing it. Card is 3.5% + $3.95; bank (ACH) is 1.8% + $2.49 — on a $500 registration that is $21.45 against $11.49. Every family-facing payment screen leads with bank and shows the exact saving, so families choose it without being lectured about interchange.
Absorb the platform fee or pass it through?
Your choice, per organization. Absorb it and advertise a clean price, or pass it through and the checkout shows families the line item. Stripe’s card-processing fee is separate and applies either way.
What counts as a registration?
A completed registration for one player in one season — tryout signups, season registrations, and accepted roster offers each count once. $0 registrations carry no platform fee.
Why annual billing?
Because associations run on annual budgets and volunteer boards. One flat price, one renewal date the treasurer already knows, nothing to reconcile month to month. Cancel any time and everything keeps working until the date you’ve paid through.
How do we add the website later — or drop it?
Yourself, from Settings → Billing, whenever you like. Adding it puts the module on your subscription prorated for the rest of your year and unlocks it the moment you confirm — no call with us, no new contract. Removing it is the same in reverse, with a prorated credit, and your pages are kept in case you come back.
Can we try it first?
Yes — 30 days, the real platform with the available add-on modules switched on, no card required. Set up your organization, import families, open a registration, and decide with the whole board looking at it.
How hard is it to move off what we have now?
Less than a board expects, because moving the site is work we do rather than a tool you operate — and most of an old site turns out to be team and division pages that become live data here instead. Our switching page walks through what comes over, what your families have to re-enter (nothing), and the two things somebody still has to do by hand.
Can we leave?
Yes, with your data. Rosters, registrations, and player records export to CSV/Excel from the app today — no export tax, no lock-in negotiation. Your Stripe account is yours and stays with you.
What about payment plans?
Built into the core platform. Deposit at checkout, scheduled installments charged automatically to the saved card, retry-and-remind handling when a charge fails, and a family portal where parents see exactly what’s left.
