How families opt in to text messages

InSeasonHQ (InSeasonHQ LLC) is the season-management platform youth sports organizations use for registration, schedules, teams, and communication. Text messages on the platform are sent by InSeasonHQ LLC on behalf of the organization a guardian registered with. Organizations on the platform send text messages only to guardians who gave express consent during registration. This page documents that consent flow.

The opt-in: the guardian step of the registration form

While registering a player, a family reaches the guardian step of their organization's registration form. The consent language sits directly beneath the primary guardian's mobile number field, and an additional guardian opts in with an unchecked-by-default checkbox. Texting is never a condition of registering — leaving the number blank, or the box unchecked, changes nothing else.

Program terms

Who sends: the youth sports organization the guardian registered with, through InSeasonHQ's platform texting number. Every message leads with the organization's name.
Message types: operational youth-sports logistics — registration news, schedule changes, team information, and replies to the family's own messages. No third-party marketing, ever.
Frequency: varies with the season; typically a few messages per month.
Cost: message and data rates may apply per the guardian's mobile plan. InSeasonHQ and organizations never charge for texts.
Opt out any time: reply STOP to end messages (carrier-standard confirmation follows); reply START to resubscribe after a prior opt-in; reply HELP for help.
Consent records: each opt-in is stored with the registration it was given on — organization, timestamp, and number — and honored per organization.
